Pupils in Class 6 at St Joseph's Catholic Academy in Norton have been making the most of the school's prayer garden this week as part of a thoughtful and reflective prayer activity.

The children spent time considering the importance of kindness and what it means to live in the image of God, using the peaceful outdoor space to support their reflections.

Reflecting on Kindness

During the activity, pupils thought carefully about the ways they demonstrate kindness in their daily lives and how others have shown kindness to them.

They took time to write down their thoughts, reflecting on acts of friendship, support and compassion they had experienced both in and out of school.

Growing in Faith and Understanding

The prayer garden provided the perfect setting for children to pause, reflect and connect their actions to their faith.

By considering how they can treat others with love and respect, pupils explored how they can follow God's example through their words and actions.

A Meaningful Prayer Experience

Staff were delighted by the maturity and thoughtfulness shown by the children throughout the activity.

The session offered a valuable opportunity for pupils to deepen their understanding of kindness while recognising the positive impact small acts can have on others.
